Already paid for a year of ESPN Plus. Now have a NEW monthly fee for WatchESPN ($69.99). What is this? Are they the same?

ESPN and ESPN Plus are two different subscriptions that will allow access to different content. For more information about what content is available and included in each of those subscriptions, you'll want to contact ESPN support directly to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.

In addition to what @RokuDanny-R  stated, both subscriptions use the ESPN app to view content (there are separate logins within the ESPN app for each). You can also view ESPN Plus content through the Hulu app.
