YouTubeTV - Remote back button won't take us to channel guide

We just switched to YoutTubeTV - while watching a show, we want to go back to the channel guide.  Everywhere we have looked it says use the back button the Roku - but that does not take us there or even back to the Live button on top - any suggestions appreciated.

    Are you certain you're using the Back button?  Excuse me for asking, but some people seem to be confused about which button is the Back button.  It's the button to the left of the Home button.
