Your remotes suck and we should all get free replacements that work!

Can anyone explain why the remote codes constantly change? I have 4 rokus and 1 remote because they never last or work. My current smart TV allows me to use the tv remote but works one second then has to be reprogrammed. The app is also a joke.

They don't. Standard Roku devices that use IR code are using the same codes since Roku was released.

There are actually different codes for Roku TVs, however. The TV manufacturers control those. Not every manufacturer uses its own unique codes, but there are a couple of different code sets that most of the manufacturers use. However, those are not the same code set that Roku manufactured devices use.

Roku, however, has used the same code set since the first devices launched.
