Why is the home screen layout not saved?

I am surprised this has not been brought up before, and if it has please point me to it.

If I reset a ROKU device or enable a new ROKU device on my account, it has everything I have subscribed to saved and downloads them, but...

I then have to go and move all the icons around to get them the way I like them or have them on other TVs.

This is quite infuriating considering that it can remember all the other things it does associated with my account. Now I understand that in a family environment, each member could have their own layout, but that is easily fixed if you ask me, similar to how some of the apps like Prime & Netflix handle it.
