why does the blue light come back on after I shut the roku and tv off

I bought a new one recently and it works fine. I just want to know why the blue light goes out when I shut the tv/Roku off and then comes back on . Is this okay or does it mean my Roku is back on. I just want to make sure it is off when I'm done watching tv. thanks for your help.

    Roku devices don't turn off.  The power button on the remote is strictly for the TV.  The light goes off when the screensaver activates or the Roku device goes into "power saving" mode (if the device supports it).  You can pretty much ignore the light since it doesn't mean much and seems to be an unreliable indicator.
