Why does my Roku remote's Mute button trigger my TV's audio guidance?

Ok, so I've seen similar topics how to turn off the audio guidance, so I know how to do that, however.  How in the world is it possible when sometimes using my Roku remote's mute button, it triggers on my LG tv's audio guidance?  Which in the tv settings I always have set it to off.  Anyone know?  I didn't know if it's a remote issue or what?  lol, it's bizarre.

  • Your LG remote will probably do the same thing if you hold down the mute button.  Look for a way to turn it off in the TV's setting.  People have claimed the same problem with Samsung TVs

Sorry, for the delay.  But you are correct.  I did try this and it is also linked to audio.  I'm guessing because our new Roku remote is a voice activated one, which previous one wasn't, this is why it's linked that way.

Solution is, I'm using another remote for mute 🙂

Is there any solution to keep the Roku remote from triggering the LG TV Audio Guidance?  Not wanting to be forced to use two remotes. The Lg TV remote “wheel” is miserable so we don’t want to use that.
This does not happen on our other brand TV’s that use Roku. Only the LG tv. Is this a ROKU issue or an LG Tv issue? Will ROKU work with LG to resolve this?
