Volume increases by itself - to 100%

I have a streaming stick with remote on a small LG TV.   Suddenly the volume will increase and keep getting louder to 100% of volume.  I can stop it but have to find remote to do so.   Also when I try to turn off the TV with the ROKU remote it turns back by itself.
