Volume control on the device, not IR receiver

I have an LG ultrawide monitor and a roku streaming stick 4k, the monitor doesn't have an IR receiver to change the volume. I was hoping that the device had an internal way of changing the volume instead of relying on the IR receiver. Does anyone know a work around? I would rather not have a sound bar.

    My newest LG monitor has a little joystick facing down underneath the center of the screen.  Instead of center-clicking it to go into the menu system, you can move it right to increase volume or move it left to decrease volume.
