Using your own pics for wallpaper theme

this does not work anymore roku as usual has changed the app it no longer posts the uploads just says it does

screensaver & theme

    So we're now into 2024. You'd think those at Roku would have FINALLY listened to customers regarding the desire for more personalized WALLPAPER choices. What they offer is ...laughable. It feels like content you'd see when gaming consoles/computers first came out 20yrs ago and graphics were extremely basic. But you go to the screensaver side...? New content is continually being added. Users have the option to select free savers or purchase them. I don't understand why the same isn't done with wallpapers?? Or at the very least; why there has never been an upgrade that allows users to upload their own photos for wallpaper. I'd definitely pay more for the Roku device if that's what it took. **bleep**. I'm already paying for the screensavers. I just can't fathom why the wallpaper avenue is an ever ignored and seemingly will forever be ignored market for the developers of Roku.

      Maybe instead of you know.. bringing up the subject, actually do it? The options given to us are all absolutely horrible. Normally I wouldn’t care but these options are really really bad.

        Seriously, right?! This has been an "ask" for literally YEARS and has never been met. The why is mind boggling. It doesn't seem to be a huge request. I pay for screen savers. I'd definitely pay to be able to have the same large variety of wallpaper selection or to be able to customize and use my own photos for wallpaper. 

        And why is it that I have wallpaper choices on my Roku TV (OMN) that are not available on my Roku streaming device. Meaning why can't those wallpapers be added to the menu when they come out so a user can select them from ANY device?? Makes zero sense to me. I know it seems trivial but then again this seems to be a topic a lot of people post about year after year. Not just myself coming here!!

      Doesn’t look like anything is changing or being listened to when you keep replying with a copy and paste message. but hopefully one day we can get better wallpapers

        I hope so. Most of the desktop stuff really looks like it is aimed at kids under 7.  It would be better to just have it where you can put your own stuff up.  The newest thing they have is just another screensaver not desktop wallpapers.
