using roku remote to control volume through pioneer lx105 elite receiver

I have a Pioneer elite vsx lx 105 receiver hooked to my Samsung tv.  The Roku stick is in the HDMI port for streaming on the Pioneer.  It all works fine but I cannot control volume or muting from the...

Did you finish by reprogramming the remote for tv but search for Pioneer instead under brands? 

 

If your Pioneer has CEC feature and it's turn on, you go into Roku settings instead of choosing Tv setup while programming your tv chose CEC setup and follow prompts. When it comes to CEC, it doesn't care if its a TV or AVR, nor what brand it is. Just if the CEC feature is present.
