USB instead of HDMI interface?

Is there a Roku player that uses a USB port instead of an HDMI port?  Using a projector that has open USB ports but no open HDMI port.  Thanks in advance.

If by "no open HDMI port" you mean that it is occupied by another HDMI device, you could always purchase a HDMI 'switch' that would allow you to toggle between multiple HDMI devices on a single HDMI port.

Just note that you would want a HDMI Switch, not a HDMI Splitter (which splits a signal to multiple devices).

    Hi, Sln628!

Excited to see you here in the Roku Community!

That's a great question! Currently, there are no Roku players that support USB port input to connect with your TV or Projector.

For a better experience, Roku players must be connected to an HDMI cable, which transmits digital video and audio to your TV or Projector.

You can use the HDMI-USB converter, but it may not work since these devices are specifically designed for HDMI cables.

Let us know what you find out and come back to us.

    Best,
