You're sure you're putting it in right side up?
If so, and it was like that in the first place, you really should have returned/swapped it immediately. At this point, you're probably going to need to do a warranty replacement which is generally slower.
Unless you want to get a little DIY and see why it doesn't fit. My guesses would be the circuit board is misaligned, or there is some plastic flashing that could be trimmed away. But given that it's under warranty, I wouldn't go down that path unless you really enjoy fixing things yourself.

In that case, definitely try putting it in other side up! It's hard to see which end is up on a micro USB connector even when your sight is average!

I have attemped connecting it both ends. It just won't fit in there.
Thank goodness for the app remote fuction but its not as good as an actual remote

Just to make sure we’re on the same page, I’m not talking about ends of the cable, I’m talking about which end of the connector is facing upwards. I made an audio book reader for my dad out of an old phone, and I put a dot of bright paint on its micro USB connector because I knew he couldn’t see which side was up, either.
