Updating my remote, how to do it

When I turn on tv, using my Roku stick, at the bottom it says update remote, the left side, it has the microphone button, and on the right side it has two options - update  now or try later. I don’t know how to get to the right side to update. After a few seconds it goes off. Help!

    I have never seen this with any of my Rokus or their remotes. 

    Might this be a prompt from your television instead of your Roku?

    KaceyCI would agree with the other response..what make/model is your TV? I own an LG OLED and periodically there are OS and other updates shown in a notification bar..That said, the remote has never had an update
