Unable to see local channels

This morning I don't see local channels unless I run a scan. I've had to do this twice. Did we get a software update?

  • Hi Sandykutah,

Thanks for the first post to the Roku Community!

We appreciate you letting us know about the behavior you've encountered with the local channels on your Roku device.

We would like to know how to identify and resolve this issue, but we need more details.

    • What is your device's OS version?
    • What specific troubleshooting steps have you taken so far to resolve the issue?

For troubleshooting purposes, we recommend navigating to Home > Settings > TV inputs > Live TV > Manage Channels > Manage all Channels > (Checked Hide Streaming Channels). To see if it helps to resolve the issue.

Please keep us posted on what you find out, and we'll continue assisting you from there.

    All the best,
    Chel

No matter what you do to get the local channels does not work. Scan a dozen times. Doesn't not work.

Well, you do not understand the issue.  Let see if I can help you figure out my problem.  Per your request, I have Insignia ROKU TV 5315X.

Now,  I originally and still can find the antenna selection, scan for the available antenna channels, then see the "SO CALLED" guide to view those antenna channels, pick a channel off the guide and see that one channel, BUT upon leaving that screen/guide and going back out to the Home Screen OR turn off the TV,  I loose the antenna process.  Therefore I have to re-do the whole process to view any channels from my antenna.  I followed your proposed link for my problem and the "check hide streaming channels" is selected BUT when I come back to the "LIVE TV" selection, it gives me the original "streaming channels" as if I had never made an attempt to select an antenna????   WHY???  This should be no different than telling the ROKU system I have Cable!  It's either Cable or Antenna or both.  My case, NO CABLE.

Thank You CMINMD!!!  I had just responded/reply (Well, you do not understand) to the ROKU Help Member from my email account, which thereafter I logged into my ROKU account and accessed the community board were-as I found there were more responses to my original problem.  Upon my reading the responses from community members, CMINMD response immediately made sense with the "Rename" statement to which in less than 30 seconds my problem was corrected.  Again, Thank You CMINMD.
