Unable to connect the Roku Mobile app to the Roku TV

I lost my Roku remote this weekend! My Roku TV connected to my wifi for two days using an online app for my remote. My Roku is very new, but no longer able to find it listed as a device in my wifi network list; nor is it in my blue tooth list of connected devices. How can I configure my Roku with the remote app on my phone again. Those Roku remote applications I have tried to download all state they are unable to find my Roku device, even though it is turned on?

My cable company's remote pairs with the Roku, but only allows me to turn it off; or on; and I can turn the volume up, or down. It does not allow me to change channels; see the guide, or menu; nor can I use the arrows to move the curser to the channel or network I want to choose. Thanks ahead if anybody can help me figure this out? Argh!

I know it is possible, because it worked for two days, although it kept dropping off my wifi network, even though I have high speed service, with 24/7 access to the internet.

    You won't be able to use any app if the TV isn't already connected to your network.  It's hard to say why it's having a problem staying connected, but start by unplugging the power briefly and hope it connects once it restarts.  You might also want to restart all of your network equipment (gateway/modem/router).
