Ultra 4802R remote not syncing. no lights on remote even when charging.

I'm setting up a device for the first time. The remote doesn't seem to be charging, as no lights on on or blinking when plugged in. I have tried two other cords. Plugged it into unit and wall with adaptor. Help Chat said let it sit plugged in for 8 hours and then call back if it doesn't work. But directions state it will have a blinking light when charging. No light. Any suggestions before I return it?

    If the light doesn't come on when you press and hold the pairing button and it doesn't come on when you try to charge it, I don't know if I'd waste any time on it.  try to leaving it plugged in for 8 hours, but don't get your hopes up.
