Two product questions (voice remote pro and long range receiver cable)
Hello all,
I have a couple questions I was hoping to get help with.
First I want to know if there is a player package that comes with the voice remote pro already inside it. I love the rechargeable battery and custom buttons on that and would rather not have to purchase either separately. It looked like it might come with the ultra lt device, but a review on Amazon showed just a basic remote from what I could tell.
And second, I am confused by the long range receiver cable. If I have a TV out in a shed/garage that is some ways from my router is that going to help boost my wireless signal to help with potential signal issues?
Thanks for any help,
Michael
Hi, RogueSatedan
Thanks for posting, and welcome to the Roku Community.
We appreciate you for inquiring, and we got answers for it. The Roku Ultra comes with the Roku Voice Remote Pro. You can order one here at Roku Ultra.
Additionally, the long-range receiver cable is only available with Roku Streaming Sticks that gather a stronger range of wireless networks for a better streaming experience.
If you have further concerns or inquiries, please feel free to let us know.
All the best,
KashIf you need the best range, I think you might be better off with the Ultra. With the Ultra, you could always add an extender (or access point) in the garage (to help with poor signal) or add a Powerline extender (basically these just plug into outlets and use your electrical wiring to extend the network. The extra benefit of a Powerline extender is that you can then use an ethernet cable between it and the Ultra device, if needed or desired.
Regarding the Streaming Stick Long Range Wireless Receiver, think of it as an amplified antenna. (signal grabber). Not really a booster in a sense, as it does not transmit, it only receives the wireless/wifi signal.
