TV remote receiver mounting on TV
Mt Roku is wall mounted above a shelf and the remote will not communicate with it. I have to raise the remote up to shelf level to communicate, Suggestions?

I can think of four ways: Fix the installation issue, point the remote, get an IR remote extender, or get a Wi-Fi remote, ie: one of the Roku voice remotes. (In no order of preference, since each probably has its own advantages.)
- Can you relocate the Roku so that its front face is directly seen from your remote's location without the remote having to be lifted?
- Depending on your ceiling's reflectivity, you might be able to get results by pointing the remote at the ceiling and bouncing the infrared signal to the Roku's location. Or maybe even bouncing it off a back wall and forward to the set.
- My personal preference would be to purchase a Voice Remote to do away with the line-of-sight issue altogether.
- Edited to add: I once had a similar problem with a stereo receiver that was mounted too far off to the side from my usual seat. I solved it by taping a small reflector made of shiny aluminum foil on the far side of the infrared sensor, angled toward my chair.
