Tv freezes powers down then powers back on

For the past three months or so my Roku TV will lose it sound, 10 to 20 seconds later the picture freezes, then the TV powers off, and restarts. At first, this might happen once in like four hours. The last few days it’s been really frequent.

I have unplugged the TV as well as my router for as long as two hours and then booted things back up. I have also checked and updated the TV software and my router software. None of these things have helped. And like I said above, the issue continues and gets worse every day. It does not matter if we’re using an app or watching something on the internal Roku antenna.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue? Thank you in advance.

      Hi there! AG123

      Thanks for reaching out!

Thanks for trying to do the initial troubleshooting steps, but it seems that you're still having trouble with the sound on your Roku TV, and after a couple of seconds, the screen freezes. Can you please provide further info about your Roku?

      • The serial number and device ID of the device.
      • Have you tested your internet connection? A weak connection can affect audio quality or cause shows to buffer or freeze.
      • Do you have any devices that are connected to this Roku that may interfere with the connection? If so, have you tried disconnecting it and try it without the device?

Looking forward to teaming up with you!
