Trying to hook up my Wii to my TCL 4k Roku tv

I do not have a jacks on my Roku TCL 4k TV so I got an adapter that turns the 3 into 1 cord and there is a place to hook the one av into my tv. Like a headphone jack. But when I turn on the Wii I get nothing . Oh I also turned my TV to AV settings and still nothing. Please help

    Are you sure you got the right adapter?  Try plugging the yellow cable (which should be the video) from the Wii into each of the different colors of the adapter to see if you get any kind of picture.

    This may be a better question for TCL since they made the TV.
