Trouble connecting DVD/VCR Combo to the TCL Roku TV

I have a Panasonic DVD/VCR combo player.  I have tried connecting to the Roku 50" TCL TV.  I have tried all of the hdmi ports and the av port (which is not hdmi).  I have a 3 to 1 connector with a single connector to connect to tv and i have tried a 3 to 1 connector with hdmi on the end.  It still says NO SIGNAL IS IT ON?

    In this case, it may be possible that your Panasonic DVD/VCR is not compatible with your TCL Roku TV. We highly recommend coordinating this with Panasonic Support for further clarification.
