TCL Roku TV switching inputs

I purchased a nice 55” TCL for my disabled father last month.  Every day for the last week his tv has been switching inputs from HDMI 1 - a cable box - back to the Roku Home Screen without him pressing any buttons.  How can I stop this from happening?  He can’t fix this on his own.
