TCL Roku TV many apps not resuming from pause and then plays from beginning

Anyone else having this issue:  In almost every app I use on Roku, if I hit pause regardless of how long I pause it, often times it will not unpause or fast forward and will be stuck/unresponsive from the pause screen.  The TV makes a sound signaling the remote is not the problem, but the Roku does nothing.  Can't advance from pause or unpause and when attempting to unpause, it plays whatever I'm watching in practically every app from the beginning. 

 

I have the latest software updates and have done system restarts as well as unplugging from power and replugging in.  Nothing seems to help this issue.

    We'd like to know more about your issue with being stuck or experiencing unresponsiveness on your pause screen.

    • Have you tried removing the channel and adding it back?
    • Is the issue happening on all contents or channels, or is it isolated to one content or channel? (Specify)
    • Have you tried restarting your modem and router?
    • How far is your device from your network router?
    • Do you have cellular data, so we can try connecting your device to your hotspot?

    With more detailed information, we will be able to assist you further.
