TCL Roku TV losing apps on home screen

I started having a weird issue with my TCL Roku TV. Often when going to the home screen from an app or waking the TV there will be no apps displayed. I have to restart the TV to get the apps back. There are no updates available. Does anyone have any ideas on what is happening?
