Table top remote buttons.

I set up a program button on the tabletop remote and at night when we go to bed I press the button and it launches without turning on the tv screen so the room stays dark. The batteries died and now when I replaced them every time I press the programmed button it turn on the screen and launches the iHeart app. Before it just said launching iHeart radio and it came on with no screen. Anyone know how to make it do this again?
