Streaming Quality for TV Not Available?

I purchased a Roku Select Series 43" 4K HDR TV. I've had Roku players for years and they always had an option in the Settings under Display to change the streaming quality. However, I'm noticing the TV does not. Since my internet only allows 1 TB per month, I'm quite concerned that I can't change my streaming quality. Even at 1080p, I will be over the limit. On my streaming stick, I always kept the quality at 720p.

Is there any way to change this or do I need to return this TV?

Unfortunately, the RokuTVs do not have this setting.  Some apps do have the ability to choose the quality but not all of them.

Like you, I prefer the individual control/settings allowed by the devices.  I have unlimited data (though 5tb at high speed and then throttled).

With that said, running multiple TVs (some at 1080 and others at 720) and the other internet usages, I am usually around a max of 2tb.  Last month I used 1.5tb and currently at May 10, I am around 335gb.

If your speeds are throttled after 1tb, you will likely still be able to stream just fine.  If you encounter costs associated by going over 1tb, then you will probably always be monitoring your usage which is not a great way to watch tv.  If the latter scenario, I would probably just return the RokuTV and get a setup that gives you a bit more control and breathing room in your data usage.
