I have the Roku in my living room connected to my TV, which I use when I’m in the living room. However, in the evening, I want to stream the Roku channel on my iPad in the bedroom. But somehow when I click on the show I want to watch it plays in the living room instead of on my iPad. How do I fix that?
To add to renojim suggestion of using the browser, note that if you are using the official Roku mobile app on your Ipad, the ability to launch the Roku Channel and other installed channels/apps are set by default to launch on your connected TV. (the RokuTV or device that the mobile app is connected to).
To watch the Roku Channel content on your Ipad (if you are using the mobile app), make sure you select the Roku Channel from the section beneath the connected device/tv section. (indicated by the green dot). The lower selection will allow you to watch the content on your mobile device instead. See attached image.
The other method is to go to "Devices" on the mobile app, and then select "Forget Device". This will remove the connection to the RokuTV or Roku device so the only option to appear will be to play on your mobile device. (ie. select 'watch on mobile').
You could always use a browser on your ipad and watch on https://therokuchannel.roku.com/.
