Streambar doesn’t recognize ARC port

Hi, I was having some issues with my streambar so I did a factory reset. However when I tried to set up the system again, it won’t recognize the ARC connection. I checked all the TV settings, and still nothing. I then just selected the optical option (without actually connecting an optical cable) to see what happens. Now I get sound out of both my TV speaker and the sound bar and it creates an echo. This, it seems that the ARC connection works, but the soundbar for some reason won’t recognize that it is connected. What is going on? How do I fix this?

    Are you sure it's not the TV that's at fault?  Try resetting it by disconnecting the power for several seconds and plugging it back in (don't just turn it off and on).
