This seems to be working so far. One more question: Do you think it would help if I replaced the Roku stick? Or is that not going to help?

dcampbell678, I don't know. Since I've never seen the root cause of the "sound but no picture" issue on Roku devices (on TVs, it's usually the backlight), I couldn't say if a new device would fix it. I don't know if the TV itself and some kind of weird incompatibility comes into play.

OK, thanks (again) for your insights. The reset seems to work (for now). If the problem persists, I might try a new Roku stick.
