Standard remote directional bar only turns on NETFLIX , won't navigate

I turn on the ROKU with my remote and the home page appears. Press left directional and NETFLIX comes up. return to home page and press down and RIDO ( a discontinued page) pops up. Pressing left either mutes the device or opens NETFLIX. 18 month old standard remote, no obstructions, new batteries.  jim.hughesiii@gmail.com

    This must be some aftermarket universal remote, does it power and volume keys? What's  the model number found in the battery compartment?
