Simultaneous sound from Roku App AND TV?

Is there any way to use headphones with the Roku App and sound from a Roku Box/TV as the same time.  Most of us want a low sound level with the TV, but one person needs a higher volume in order to understand dialog.   If we could use the Roku App for just them, it would solve our listening problem.
