Trying to set up Roku Express on a non smart tv. It's got HDMI and everything is powered on. The screen keeps flashing so I can't read the ROKU setup to get it working. It flashes the Roku set up screen for just a micro second then goes black and keeps on flashing on for a split second, almost as if it's not compatible with my tvs video output. Any suggestions?
If you're using the TV's USB port to power the Express, try using a USB power adapter/charger from a phone or tablet plugged into the wall.
I have pretty much the same issue. I have factory reset both my tv and the Roku. I have tried the settings and the advanced display options with no luck. Does anyone have a solution?

Have you tried changing an HDMI cable? Also, to further isolate the issue, can you try connecting the Roku device to a different TV?
