Screen Reader Disabled

The volume is being announced and we can't make it stop. Yes, we tried to disable SR in the settings - no change. Yes, we tried to disable SR by hitting the * button 4x - no change. Yes, we did a factory reset - no change. Super frustrated and about to throw this thing in the garbage. Please assist and save this Roku.

    To turn off the screen reader on your Roku device. Follow these steps below: 
    Navigate to  Settings >  Accessibility > Screen Reader. For more info, visit here.

    Use your TV remote (not Roku remote) and look in your TV settings to see if there are additional Accessibility features that may be contributing to this issue. (ie. may be your TV, not the Roku doing this to you).

    Suddenly today, May 29, 2025 mine is doing the same thing has never done it before and all of a sudden I am hearing my volume being announced every time I change the volume. Why?

    For whatever reason, I cannot seem to get into my actual television settings in order to do what you are telling me to do on those instructions. I’m not sure how to get to my television inside my settings. It’s just not happening. I’ve tried and tried. Do I have to remove the Roku to be able to just get into my television settings alone?
