Samsung TV does not recognize the Express 4K+ once switched off

I set up my Express 4K+ and it initially knows I have a Samsung TV but it doesn't recognize my model. If I use the Roku to watch TV on the apps, and then change it back to the TV mode, when I try to use the Roku again by selecting the HDMI port, it says No Signal. I either have to unplug the power and plug it back in, or I can hit the Home Button several times and it comes back.

I chatted with Roku and the representative said to unplug the power and HDMI for thirty seconds. Then, power up and plug the HDMI in again. No change. I'm considering returning the Roku to Amazon and ordering a new one.

The Roku device does go into a sleep mode when it is not being used.  Normal behavior is to press the Home button in order to wake it up.

Some HDMI issues are caused by the Auto-Power Savings setting.  Try disabling it under Settings/System/Power/Auto Power Savings/20-min [uncheck to Disable]

Generally, you press Home to wake Roku device and get to the Home Screen.  After you are finished streaming, you press Home again to return to Home Screen (stops streaming and using bandwidth/data).  After a period of time, the Roku device will enter into a sleep mode.  The Home button again wakes the device and puts you on the Home Screen.
