Hi bminhas,
Greetings from the Roku Community!
We want to further investigate this issue that you had with the Roku TV since it will take time to connect to your Wi-Fi.
Can you please provide the following information below?
- What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?
- How many devices do you have connected to your network right now? (e.g. TV, mobile phone, laptops, computer)
- Do you have cellular data so we can try connecting your device to your hotspot?
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thanks,
John- bminhasReel Rookie
Hi John. Thank you for the response. Before posting in this thread I did follow all of the suggested troubleshooting from this thread. None have worked.
I have about 4 devices connected to my network. The wireless internet modem is on the TV shelf right below the TV.
Yes, I can hotspot as well.

Hi bminhas,
Thanks for keeping us posted!
We'd love to assist you further with this issue that you had with the Roku TV.
May we know if you have tried to check the internet connection status of your network on your devices? Strength could be a factor in why initiating a connection would take so long. To do so, kindly follow the steps below:
- Press the Home button on your Roku remote.
- Scroll up or down and select Settings.
- Select Network.
- Select About
Performing these steps would also allow you to check other important information, such as Signal status and IP Address.
Let us know what you find out; we'd be happy to continue assisting you with this.
Regards,
John
