Roku will not let my receiver stay in standby ROKU ULTRA

I am about to take my Roku back to Best Buy hoping to exchange it for something.  It keeps turning on and off engaging my Onkyo Home theater receiver.  Sometimes in the middle of the night.  I have the power down after 20 minutes on and it the light stays on and it still keeps turning my receiver on and off.  I have an apple tv streamer that never gives me any issues.  Hopefully I can get this resolved or back it goes.

    Try disabling "power saving" under Settings->System->Power.  Roku devices never really turn off.  At most they go into a power saving mode that can sometimes cause HDMI handshaking issues.

    I have already contacted best buy hoping to get some kind of compensation.  this should not happen
