Roku Voice Remote Pro (2nd edition) connectivity

Voice Remote Pro (2nd edition) seems to connect to the Ultra 4850 via RF. However with the paucity of documentation I can't seem to confirm that.  AND, if it comms are via RF what is the frequency? ...
