Thank you for reaching out to the Roku Community!
We'd like to know more about the issue you are seeing.
- Is this the first time you set up/activated this Roku device?
- Have you paired the remote successfully before?
- What troubleshooting steps have you taken to fix the issue?
We want to ask you to attempt to pair the Roku Voice Remote to your Roku device using the below steps:
- On your Roku Home screen, navigate to Settings > System > Power > System Restart.
- After your TV restarts and returns to the Home Screen, navigate to Settings > Remotes & Devices > Setup a new device.
- Click Remote," followed by Continue."
- Locate the pairing button on the bottom of the back of the remote.
- Press and hold the pairing button for at least 20 seconds.
- The remote should now re-pair to your device, and you will need to click Continue, Accept, and Continue to finish the process.

I have had the roku ultra for a little over a year the system updates are all installed. The voice remote is installed properly and even did the repairing process as you suggested with no fix.
