Recently our 2021 Roku Ultra has some possession problems. I can be watching a show and it pauses and then goes home and opens another app without touching the remote.
It happens as well we turning on the Roku.
i tried unpairing the remote and pairing a different remote. The problem still exists.
i have rebooted the device but haven’t tried a factory reset. It’s close to 4 years old not sure if it is time to replace.
I have the same problem. My Roku is older, probably 2018. My closest neighbor is 1/4 miles away from me. I doubt a stray signal is causing this issue. Would be open to trying anything to troubleshoot the problem.

No, I’ve checked the remote and there are no stuck buttons. I have restarted the system a few times. When I do the restart, it takes care of the problem for about a day. I’ve done the following over the last week after it turned itself on over night.
Can you try putting it in a box so that no stray IR signals from any other sources (like a remote with a stuck button or even sunlight) can get to it?
