Roku Ultra audio keeps playing even on home screen

This has been happening since we got our new Ultra a month ago. 
My husband pauses a video on YouTube and then forgets to close it before he leaves for work. I wake up and come in 30 minutes later and the screensaver is on, so I hit the home button to wake it up and it starts playing the audio of the youtube video he left paused, but the screen is the Home Screen. I then open the Hulu app thinking it will stop YouTube audio, but it doesn’t. It will keep playing the audio from the YouTube app even if I start a new video on Hulu. I have to unplug the Roku or restart it to get it to stop. So irritating!
