Roku Ultra 2024 Reboot when waking up from CEC

Just got the 2024 Roku Ultra.  Loving it so far except for one issue that did not occur on my previous Roku Ultra.

When pushing a button my my remote, to switch to the ROKU input on my TV, the Roku will display the default purple background, and will reboot three times then loads the apps screen.

This Roku is connected by HDMI.  I do have the power savings mode on.  I'm fairly confident that setting was not enabled prior to getting this new Roku.

    Hi S_C_B,

Thanks for posting in the Roku Community!

Congratulations on your new Roku Ultra 2024! We really appreciate your feedback.

Regarding your issue with the previous Roku Ultra, which only displays the default purple background every time you change the input with your TV. Could you please send us a photo or video of the TV screen when you encounter the issue?

In the meantime, we highly suggest you try these troubleshooting steps:

    • Make sure your Roku device is securely connected to the HDMI port on the back of your TV and to the power outlet.
    • Restart your device:
Unplug the power cord from the Roku device for at least 10 seconds, then plug it back in. Or you can System restart it through settings by following the steps below:
    1. Press Home on your Roku remote
    2. Scroll and select Settings
    3. Select System
    4. Select Power. If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.
    5. Select System restart

Please let us know if the issue is persistent.

    Regards,
    Riamie

      Thanks for the response.

The issue is with my 2024 Roku Ultra not my previous one.

        Hi S_C_B,

        Thanks for the update!

We appreciate you for making it clear that the issue itself is from the new Roku Ultra 2024.

We highly suggest you try the troubleshooting steps that we have suggested above and if the issue persists proceed with the next troubleshooting steps below:

        1. Try to switch the HDMI port and input of the Roku Ultra.
        2. If it's plugged into HDMI 1 try to switch it over to HDMI 2
        3. If possible, you can also try to connect it to another TV.

If the issue is persistent, please provide us with the following details:

        • Roku device serial number, device ID, and OS version. (this can all be found in Settings > System > About)
        • Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)

We look forward to your response.

        Regards,
        Riamie
