Mine has been doing this on/ off for months. It’s gotten especially bad recently where it used to go hours before blacking out but now it happens as soon as I start streaming a show. Full audio is working and the content is moving forward, but you can’t see anything.
I have unplugged, restarted, factor reset, checked for software updates, reset the individual streaming apps. Nothing works.- RokuRhea-VCommunity Moderator

To help us investigate, please provide us with the following information:- Is this occurring in all apps? Can you specify the app you're having issues with?
- A picture or video would help us understand better.
- Roku device model, serial number, and device ID. (This can all be found in Settings > System > About.)
Tracker ID and OS version, and build (press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times)

I hear ya! I can't say my device has been doing this a lot. However, a couple nights ago, I was on the free movies section of the Roku channel and, again, audio but no video. So, again, I did a system reset and the problem was resolved.

In answer to your questions:
(1) Yesterday evening.
(2) No.
(3) It was.
(4) I checked my wifi/internet connection and that was excellent. Ultimately, I did a system reset - I think that's what it's called - and that did the trick.

Thanks for posting here!It seems that you are receiving audio but no video on your Roku Ultra. Could you please provide more details?
- When did you first notice the issue?
- Did you receive any updates for your Roku device?
- Is this happening in all the apps?
- What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
In the meantime, try to reboot your Roku device
