Roku TV Select, what exactly does the factory put clear plastic sheeting on?

Just bought a new Roku TV and the picture is just not as clear or crisp as I thought it would be and wondered if there was a plastic sheet on the big screen.  I took the wrapping off around the edges and there was an energy-saver sticker but nothing came off the big screen.  Was one placed there??  How do you get it off?  I don't want to damage my TV by trying to remove something that is not there.  (Tried the tape method at the corner and nothing came off)

    I have the same issue on a new 65 inch ROKU TV. Did you manage to the plastic off and how did you do it?
