Roku TV not showing antennae channels in live TV

Hello,

Antennae channels are no longer showing on live TV UNLESS I select do not show streaming channels in settings.  When I check the box to not show streaming channels, all the antennae channels are available.  When I uncheck the box, the streaming channels are the only ones that show in live tv.

 

This is a change in behavior where previously the antennae channels were integrated with the streaming channels.  This change happened today, so i would anticipate it's an update bug.

    WORKAROUND FOUND!

    It's still wrong today, even tried yet another channel scan. No new software to download, either.

    I tried another suggestion and disconnected my router.  Tada! All my Cable channels now appear in the guide! To finish the test, I plugged my router back in, checked the guide and they were all still there. I unhid streaming channels, and Cable channels disappeared again. Hid streaming channels and Cable ones did NOT reappear. Time to unplug the router again. Good luck, all!

    We understand you're having a problem with the antenna channels since they were not showing. We're happy to assist you further. Kindly try to perform a system restart on your Roku device to properly reboot your device's system by going to Settings > System > Power (if this is not an option, kindly skip the step)> System Restart. After doing so, please try to re-scan the local channels.

    Just like 90% of what these people do to their customers with their untested updates, this is yet ANOTHER total FAIL.  But unlike most of their other bull, now my ROKU TV can't even get local channels.  I don't have ANY workaround other than going and getting a DTV box, and that ladies and gentlemen, is the day I get rid of this TV and literally EVERY Roku device in this house.  ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

      Hide your streaming channels in setup and local will appear.  Glitch in software update.

    Same problem here with two ONN Roku tvs.  Have to go to settings>tv inputs>live tv>manage channels, and hide streaming channels I order to see antenna broadcast.  Samsung tv in same house is fine.  Bad software update.

      To get antenna channels I have to do the same as someone else said:

      Home>Settings>TV Inputs>Live TV>Manage Channels>Manage all Channels (checked Hide Streaming Channels)

      That's every time I want to watch any of our 56 OTA channels.

      Chat was a joke . . . blamed it on our antenna.

      Hey folks, my ONN Roku TV knows I have 56 OTA channels; it just will not add them to "Live TV".

        I did a couple of resets, and scans.  It went from 52 to 77 to 92 antenna channels.

        I can't explain why it has done what it has done, but now one of the Live TV options is Antenna and the other Live TV option is Streaming.

        &, I got the 6-device "normal" ONN Roku remote.  It is better than the pathetic Roku remote, but it doesn't do everything correctly either.  For instance, I can't select channels with the number buttons, one of the main reasons I wanted a "normal" remote.

        The back buttons don't work right, Guide doesn't work right, and so forth.

        It seems clear that their software just didn't get tested enough, so they've made good products bad.

      Do you need to hide each one individually because I can't seem to find an option to just hide streaming channels? Very frustrating...

      My local channels have also disappeared. Not showing in the guide & when I tried using voice remote it pulls up channel 114 streaming instead of a local channel. I have had lots of problems this year. First started with the program guide listing the channels but in the program description area it showed "No INFORMATION" as the description. Very frustrating & disappointing. Their tech support generally are unaware of any problems or won't admit that they exist.

        Software glitch in update.  Go to settings and select hide streaming channels.  Local antenna tv will then show up.

    I was just on with Ram of Customer Support.  He said that it is a known issue and it was being worked on.

      My 2 Roku tv's are working again, Roku must have found the problem.

    Same here. I thought it was a TV issues since a year after having my JVC-ROKU TV i have had to do resets almost once per month to fix audio issues or video/audio synch issues or lag issues. Today i noticed that the Antenna Input icon has changed and now all i have is the Live Streaming channels. Figured out that hiding them gives me my local channels back. Frustrating!!! I replaced one of my ROKU boxes with an Nvidia Shield Pro and love it better!!! Sorry ROKU!!!

      On my oon roku  tv I hid streaming channels. Locals showed up. Then I unchecked hide streaming and had both local and streaming channels

      I scanned and have 56 Antenna Channels, but can't get them to appear in Live TV.  All I get there is streaming channels.  Even when I select "Hide Streaming Channels".

      Here's what I have to do to get to out OTA channels:

      Home>Settings>TV Inputs>Live TV>Manage Channels>Manage all Channels (checked Hide Streaming Channels)

      Then it will be Antenna channels

      PITA

      Chat blamed it on our antenna.  Yeah, right!

    Yep, same problem here and I am just abut sick of having problems with my ROKU TV. Ever since they starting all these updates a few years ago my ROKU has been nothing but problems. They should have never started all these "EYE CANDY" updates because its done nothing but screw up something that didnt need an update. I hope this is fixed soon.

      This sucks.  Lost all my antenna channels.  Tried everything - different antenna, restart, system, etc.

      Odd - if I turn off streaming, the antenna channels show up.  They are there, but don't show up on the listings.  When I go back "home" and select live TV, they are gone, again.

      I hate this **bleep**.  Asking myself why I bought a Roku TV.  Wasted a couple of hours trying to fix.

      How do you get any help - it seems impossible.  Cannot contact Roku - bad customer service - actually NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.  Need a TV that has actual support.

        • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
        • Tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID).

    Same here - local channels are gone. What a joke. I'm getting super frustrated with all the quirks that come from the simple act of trying to watch TV on YOUR product.

    And when might this bug be resolved Roku????? It's seriously annoying!! I have tried everything mentioned in these threads and it still doesn't work. To get local stations, I have to scan every time and then click watch live TV after scanning. It shouldn't be this hard to watch local TV.
