Roku TV Ethernet and WiFi takes long time to connect.

I have 4 TCL Roku TVs and one standalone Roku. I have CAT 6 Ethernet ports in every room of my house. two of my TVs and the standalone Roku have Ethernet ports. I also have a 500 Mbps up and down fiber ISP connection. Consistently all devices, whether wired or wireless, take 5 to 10 minutes to connect to the Internet. I have tried factory resetting some devices but it does not help. Once of my TVs was purchased a few weeks ago and it has the same issue.

Can anyone tell me how the Roku is determining the internet connection?

    Hi HellBound,

Thank you for posting here in the Roku community!

We see you're experiencing a delay in your Roku TV's internet connection. We would be happy to help.

Could you please let us know if you've received any error codes? Have you attempted to restart your internet? Also, how far away is your internet router from your Roku TV?

Please note that Roku TV and Roku devices support a 5GHz wireless network for optimal connectivity.

    Please keep us posted.

    Thanks,

    Anjelie

As I stated I have both WiFi and Wired Ethernet and the issue is the same on both. Once connected I have no issues, it just takes a long time to connect. Can you tell me how the Roku tried to determine the Internet connection. I assume it is trying to resolve an address. If so what is the address?

        Hi HellBound,

Thank you for keeping us posted here at the Roku Community!

May we know if you have tried to check the internet connection status of your network on your devices? Strength could be a factor in why initiating a connection would take so long. To do so, kindly follow the steps below:

        1. Press the Home button on your Roku remote.
        2. Scroll up or down and select Settings.
        3. Select Network.
        4. Select About

Performing these steps would also allow you to check other important information, such as Signal status and IP Address.

Let us know what you find out; we'd be happy to continue assisting you with this.
        Best regards,
        Janadee
