So… are you ever gonna give us a solution? Or even just say you don’t have one? This thread is almost a year old and to this day there has been no solution and it’s still happening. And for me it’s a little worse than just being kicked to the Home Screen. Sometimes my entire tv just restarts when an app crashes. But only happens if I’m watching a non-Roku service (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) watching live tv works fine for hours and I don’t use the Roku channel to know how it performs. I have a Phillips Roku tv that I’ve not had a whole year yet, bought brand new from Walmart.

I'm going to this exact same issue. You would think a company as large as Roku and TCL would have fixed this by now. This original post was over 6 months ago. Absolutely ridiculous. I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated with this **bleep**ty TV

My Roku express that I am watching right now is probably 2 years old and is on version 12 of software. Your device will update automatically or you can do it manually. But I have three other Roku Sticks and a Hisense Roku Tv and they all kick you out of the app and back to the home page. And the only thing they have in common is the owner and Roku the manufacturer ...... I wonder where the problem is 😂

Same issue. Westinghouse Roku TV. Updated, unplugged, Uninstaller, etc, no luck. Obviously a Roku software issue they can't figure out.

I have done all that has been suggested, including changed my remote, but my TCL Roku continues to kick me out of apps, freezes, goes back to home screen while a move or show is on. Im at my wits end. what do i do?

I had four devices plus a Hitense TV and they all kicked me back to the home page so I don’t think it was the TV

I own a Westinghouse Roku TV that's less than 4 months old. All apps and the system are up to date. With gigabit Ethernet, it's not a bandwidth problem. Several apps let you browse and select content, but after about 30 seconds, they unexpectedly return to the home screen. I've attempted uninstalling and reinstalling apps, powering down the TV, but the issue persists. Netflix, Prime, and Disney apps have all exhibited this problem.

Welp this has to be the most hopeless thing I've seen all day I've been having this issue with my 55" hisense TV so I hopped on the internet and saw this thread thinking great maybe we can fix this just to see a almost 1 year old thread on here with 31 pages of people having the same problem and alls I can see is the helpers on this site give out the same paragraph of questions and help steps...
Come on man yall gotta know what the issue is by now but yall are telling me you guys have known of this issue for this long and continue to push out product with the same issue. . . . I actually feel sorry for you guys having to post that same scripted 5 step guide to get paid. Cuz at this point roku don't seem to care whether it gets fixed or not atleast I'll say thankyou for not telling people to try buying another roku product and see if that fixes the issue"
And nowadays they're just saying they've forwarded the issue to the correct team who is this team?
This definitely deserves a class action case due to just the fact that we pay for subscriptions we can't use because we decided to go with your product and your team. . . . That's a bit lame
You can't even say the word law and suit next to each other on this page which is kinda sus guess thats up their with the worst of the worst words we know so we will just call it the word that shall not be named

I also don’t have it with the other 7 Roku devices I own. I blame the piece of junk HighSense TV.

My issue isn’t with the Roku devices, but a Hisense Tv with Roku. I’m pretty sure after reading through all the comments that my problem is the tv as in addition to kicking me out of apps; it randomly shuts off or restarts itself.
