Roku Streaming Stick won't detect the remote
RokuCarly Please help, I have same issue with my Roku streaming stick. I got new remote but won't detect. Must be cable issue as well. Sn:S09041AVV4US model:3820X.

Firstly, may we know what specific Roku remote you recently purchased? If this is a Roku Players (simple) remote, please be advised that this will give you a hard time controlling your Roku as the device will be plugged in at the back of your TV. It is pretty challenging to reach the IR of your device.
If your remote has a voice button, you have a Roku voice remote. If it does not, you have a Roku simple remote. Kindly refer to the image below:
However, if this is a Roku Voice Remote or Roku Voice Remote Pro (rechargeable), we'd be happy to help you pair this to your device successfully. Kindly refer to the steps below to help you:
- If your voice remote has a pairing button, it will be located either on the back of the remote or under the battery cover. - Press and hold the pairing button for 5 seconds, or until you see the status light begin to flash, to put your voice remote into pairing mode.
- If your voice remote does not have a pairing button, press and hold the Back and Home buttons for 5 seconds or until you see the status light begin to flash.
