Roku Streaming Stick 4k Remote Becoming Unresponsive After a Couple Hours

I have a Roku Streaming Stick 4k that has worked flawlessly until recently.  After an hour or so of use, the remote will not be able to communicate with the Roku Stick.  While this happens, the remote is still able to control the TV power and volume.  I had figured the remote was getting old or the kids had dropped it, so I purchased a second remote and it exhibits the same issue.

We are able to use the remote again once we unplug the Roku Stick from the power cable and plug it back in.  This behavior is very inconvenient.  

The remotes used are both the Roku Voice Remote compatible with Roku streaming devices.

    We appreciate you providing us with precise information about your remote concern, and we'd be happy to offer steps to help you resolve this.

    Please be aware that voice-operated remotes require a stable network connection to function correctly. It is possible that the network may have refreshed and disconnected from your remote. It is functioning through IR as it still allows control over power and volume.

    Let's troubleshoot your old remote by pressing and holding the Back and Home buttons simultaneously for about 20 seconds to reset it. After doing so, pair it again to see if this will make any difference.
