Hello there. Recently, I’ve been trying to watch something on my Roku Streaming Stick. Everytime I try to watch something, it seems like it keeps disconnecting. Sometimes when I start the stick, it’ll say Not Connected. Then, all of a sudden it connects and I could watch something. Once and awhile though it’ll disconnect out of nowhere. My router works fine. Could the stick be bad or going bad?
The most common connectivity issue is channel congestion. I'd recommend you install WiFi Analyzer for Android or something similar for iPhone. Once installed, open the app and view the graph which will show how many others use the same channel..the star icon shows channel rating so choose one that's highly rated with less users. In most cases, the default router setting for channel selection is 'auto', so log into the router, disable the auto feature then select a better channel. Hope that helps
If you're using the TV's USB port to power the stick, try using the supplied USB power adapter plugged into the wall.
