Using a combination of the suggestions here I was able to successfully connect my Roku Streaming Stick Voice Remote to my older model RCA TV.
I initially tried every code (16) for RCA and about 10 for GE. The music never stopped. Then I saw the suggestion that said that the music might not stop, but the remote may work.
So, I went back to the GE codes. I chose GE as the model of my TV. After the very first code I said “yes, music has stopped” even though the music was definitely still playing. It took me back to the main screen, and it works…! Volume, mute, and off/on work.
Thank you! I finally tried the GE codes and it worked!!!

I tried GE code 1 per suggestion, answered that music stopped (when it didn't stop) and just volume up/down, mute/unmute worked. TV on/off doesn't work. I tried other GE codes - they didn't work at all.

Re-pair the remote to ultra, then re-program it for a tv, this time try LG codes.

How did you change it to LG? I don’t seem to have that option?
thanks

I've tried everything: all rca codes, all lg codes, nothing. All it does is mute the tv at one of the codes but never stops playing the music. I haven't been able to control the volume from my new remote i got with the stick at all

Hi simplynoot I Searched and was about to give up decided to try one more brand a JVC and it worked hope this helps

Thanks Silverfox65 . The JVC codes worked for me. The music never did stop playing, however, the mute sign appeared on the TV screen with the second or third code. When I finished setup, the remote turns the TV on, off, mutes, and adjusts the volume.

Thanks for the post.
Perhaps Tivoburkee can provide some insight as he is our resident remote expert.
Thanks,

The setup process, which relies on the remote control mute signal, doesn’t work for all TVs, even though power and volume will work.
Try selecting “yes the music stopped” on the first, second, it third code attempt, and rest power/volume after each. The should work for most modern TVs. My 2010 LG worked for power and volume on the second code.
